Congratulations to Liz Milla for receiving a Australian Lepidoptera Research Endowment grant!
Congratulations to Liz Milla for receiving two travel awards and two grants in 2016. She received the ABRS Travel award to attend International Congress of Entomology, Orlando, and the F.H. Drummond Travel Award in July. She also received a grant from the Australian Lepidoptera Research Endowment and a Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment grant.
In March Jo received a grant from the Robert Johanson and Anne Swann Fund to present at the 2016 Artificial Light at Night (ALAN) conference in Romania and meet with researchers in Berlin. She also received another Holsworth grant to further investigate the biological impacts of artificial light at night in crickets.
Caitlin Selleck has received a David H. Ashton Travel Award for 2016. Good work Caitlin!
Annie was awarded a Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment to investigate how artificial light at night affects the circadian rhythms of black swans.
Annie was awarded a grant from the Australasian Society for the Study of Animal Behaviour to investigate how artificial light at night affects melatonin, behaviour and sleep in black swans.
Liz has been awarded a Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment to explore the evolutionary ecology of the Australian Heliozelidae (Adeloidea; Lepidoptera), and she has also recieved a SASB Travel award.
Joanna was awarded a Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment to explore the impact of artificial light at night on invertebrate behaviour, physiology and community composition. Joanna has also just had her second manuscript arising from her Masters accepted in PeerJ
Yasaman was awarded a Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment to explore in more detail the effects of The evolution of facultative parthenogenesis in the Australian spiny leaf insect, Extatosoma tiaratum.
In 2015 Yasaman was awarded both a Drummond Travel Award and a grant from the Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment.
